Along the lines of the Paul Davis thread... he only had one hit but it was a biggie. The guy who sang "Show and Tell" in 1973 died this week, Al Wilson. As I recall, he was a drummer before someone encouraged him to open his mouth and belt out a song... a great tune for R&B fans.

Make it a third on "Show and Tell." Great tune, great voice.

RIP.

I LOVE that song. May he rest in peace.

Show and tell, just a game I play, when I wanna say "I love you..." So show me and tell me that you feel the same way too......

I thought we'd lost the leader of Canned Heat.
But he died 30 years ago.

I read the obit last nite in the newspaper and he was, by that account, born and raised in my hometown - Meridian, Mississippi.
Family moved to Calif. around his 18th year, but damn .. I didn't even know and I don't think the local powers that be ever spotlighted that unique native and his accomplishments.
Heard the song plenty of times, but never heard of the guy.
RIP, Mr. Wilson

PLAY LET'S WORK TOGETHER!

He was dead before they recorded that.
You want "Going Up The Country" or "On The Road Again."
