At least the Brady Bunch got Drysdale in the flesh.

To be fair Brian Clarke was a punter at Yale.

Hot take:

— Van Patten was so underrated. I’m surprised he didn’t break his back carrying that scene.
— whose idea was it to give young boys haircuts that made them look like penises? Was it because of the robot on Buck Rodgers? My aunt did that to her kids. We used to make fun of them about it when they got older.

Was thinking about the "San Francisco" episode, and watching it thinking - seriously? Sacto to SF is a commute these days and these kids are acting like it's a trip to New York City, and seriously? They jammed eight people into that station wagon? (I realize Nicholas could have rode up front in the middle and Tommy was really short, but still - we're talking five teens and two adults - and Nancy and Elizabeth had some legs on them) and seriously? They drove through Marin? Who the hell was the navigator?

Major Nelson's house in "Cocoa Beach" pretty much told me at 7 years old how little Los Angeles-based TV folk care about getting the geography right. You can see mountains in the background of both the house (which was on a Burbank back lot) and "Cape Canaveral" air force base (which was Edwards AFB in the California desert).

After the first episode, I felt like Ralphie and the Decoder Ring.

"It's a crummy commercial!"

The mid-seventies sitcom "The Fitzpatricks," featured a lower-middle class autoworker dad, supposedly set in Flint, and the scenes of the family home featured snow-peaked mountains in the backyard.

One of the episodes I believe featured one of the family teenagers hitchhiking down to the bus station in downtown Detroit (?!?!?)

It seriously freaks me out to read about someone that age just up and dying.

Hey, if we're doing threadjacks again, let's just go all the way again, thanks ...
