My family always had cats while I was growing up. I have learned since that I am allergic to cats.

Ha! Same here!

I grew up with sometimes as many as 20 cats when they all had kittens. Never a problem.

My daughter brings one home last year and every time I even look at it I get all blown up.

I never spent time around cats until I met Mrs. OOP. I had always been allergic to dogs, but not cats, so when we got married, we got a kitten.

A year later, we got a second cat. That's when I started to notice I felt like crap. Sure enough, I was allergic to cats, too. It just didn't show up until I was exposed to them more.

We tried everything. Cleaning the house more. Air purifier. Stopped letting them sleep in our bed. Made sure I washed my hands every time I touched one of them. Let the wife clean the litter box (I liked that part).

Eventually, we had to find them a new home, though the allergies were only part of the reason. I felt better, yet I felt like crap. Sometimes I still miss the little hairballs.

i now see you as the guy who curls up in bed with his kitty before drifting off to sleep. thanks for sharing that little tidbit. ;)

Nah. One slept on my wife's pillow and the other one liked the foot of the bed....which was entertaining when one of us would accidently kick her onto the floor in the middle of the night.

As a 10-year-old, I walked off second base with two out in the last inning of a 5-4 game, thinking there were three out. I was tagged smack on the pitching rubber.

I'm with you. When I was maybe a couple of years younger than that and playing soccer, I ran to a ball that was near the sideline -- I thought it was out, but it was in. Picked it up and brought it to the ref to be helpful, and got whistled.

I've hated soccer ever since. Although I probably would have gotten there at some point anyway. :)

You know, if we find Roy "Wrong Way" Riegels, we could make a helluva trio. ;)

Random fact: If I could actually get my hands on someone who works for US Airways at this moment, I would likely murder them. Yes, even Sully.

"We are experiencing especially high call volumes right now, so your wait is approximately 12 minutes."

Of course, it was nuts of me not to anticipate the huge call volumes at MIDNIGHT ON SATURDAY NIGHT.

This was made necessary, of course, because the website failed. Shocking.

When there are three people in the call center, of course you have to wait.

Here's a random fact about me. I have, on several occasions, masturbated to scrambled porn without seeing a single image or clearly being able to decipher what was being said.
