Quick style question

x-factor -- should the 'x' be capitalized?

Not sure if there's an official style ruling, but I wouldn't.

The only X-anything I could find is X-ray, but I googled the term, and it was X-factor in a couple of stories.

Can't say I've ever used it in eight years in the biz, or I'd have a definitive answer.
