I don't usually post things like this because not everybody's interested, or cares, but, boy, did it enrage me.

I know poaching's a problem, and has been for a long time. But to do this in one fell swoop...geez. What do these people think they're going to do once they get done killing all the elephants?

Is Cameroon looking to become known for something besides soccer, maybe?

Sometimes, I really wonder how we can lay claim to being the top form of life on this planet, or feel very good about it.

It's not just a Cameroon phenomenon. I was once in Disney's Animal Kindom on the African Safari adventure,
when the truck I was on got a radio call that some poachers
were in the area of the parks beloved "Big Red". Our truck sped off and just arrived in time to scare off the poachers.
Thankfully Big Red was saved.

That story is sickening.

Without a thriving market for ivory, there is no incentive for those ****s to go in and kill the animals. That infuriates me, too.

Poaching I can understand, though it's awful.

But I can't imagine that hunting elephants would be very satisfying.

Only with a pea shooter.

NO POLITICS! Just kidding.

I think elephant poaching is disgusting. To shoot and kill an elephant, take the tusks for ivory and leave the beast's body to rot is a disgraceful practice. Since it's not here, where we have that pesky Fourth Amendment and all that, Cameroon should go all Starman and put out shoot-to-kill orders on suspected poachers.
