Since this job seems to open every six months, I thought we could have a little fun guessing who the Palm Beach Post will hire/promote/juggle to put in the vacancy Bedard left behind on the Dolphins beat.

This one could either be wide open or already earmarked for somebody. I don't know. My Palm Beach pipeline is dry because it's so new ... Although with the position just being filled less than a year ago, the Post might be working off a short, short list already. Maybe they don't even accept applications this time. Maybe they shift somebody from colleges again, move a youngster up the ladder and hire a high school writer ... Who knows?

And, no, I'm not applying. I'm fine right where I am.

So who are your guesses?

Is there a link to this? Where does someone send the resume package? Who do you address it to? Etc...

Is Palm Beach considered a reliable stepping stone to the Plain-Dealer?

The running jokes on this site -- at least the ones that are a year or so old -- make me want to **** and fall back in it. Are you people that unoriginal that you have to use the same tired joke all the time?

fnord.

Playing the hits are fine. I like a good oldie every now and then. Just not every day. On seemingly every thread. It just gets tired after a while, that's all.

And yes, I realize what I say doesn't make a difference, so carry on with your unexciting running jokes.

No wonder I visit this site less and less each week.
