Heading out of the country in a few months.
The wife is worrying about calling home to check on the kids. To do that it looks like we'll have to upgrade our cell plan. Previously, we used our laptop for internet calls.
We now longer have a laptop, per se. Can you make calls with "iPad and an ap?

JR and I spoke on Skype everyday I was in France. Worked great on the iPad.

Yeah, I use Skype on the iPad all the time and it works great.

You can also use your email address to use FaceTime without a data plan, but you'll need a wireless connection.

I can't imagine why not. We Skyped from an iPad to a PC.
