Was there some similar incident a while back - or is this the same one?

The other incident the story refers to is the headline in the Jermey Lin story that resulted in the copy editor being fired. Not sure on Smith. He'll probably be "suspended" for a day.

Last February, when the chink in the armor story blew up, I argued that I didn't think ESPN employed a single racist.

That's the most insane thing ever. Not one racist among thousands of employees?

Nah, Moddy's referring to Smith calling LeBron James a "*****."

Stephen A. has become more of a joke than a journalist I'm afraid.

"I'm a New Yorker. I speak very, very fastly."

Strong grasp of the language there, Stephen A.

The late great Phil Jasner said it all: "I liked him better when he was just Stephen Smith."
