Baylor is still on the bubble. They have a good RPI and SOS. What may kill them, though, is a poor February, and losing to stinkin' Colorado hurts a lot.

Gonzaga losing to San Diego eats up an at-large spot. I can't think of any others, but I'm sure there will be others.
South Alabama losing also ate up an at-large bid.
USA is headed to the NIT... no way the NCAA gives a Sunbelt team an at-large, in favor of a major.
I don't think it's quite that cut and dried. South Al has a good profile and a very strong RPI. They're in better shape than Illinois State or VCU as non-lock mid-majors go, and yesterday's bubble implosion really helps them.

Had this discussion with a friend of mine who goes to Western Kentucky.

All year long people were saying there was no way Western and USA both get in unless WKU won the SBC and got the auto bid. Now that WKU has won it, I don't see how the SBC can get two in.

I'd rather listen to the bitching from the screwed (Hi! BYH) than listen to the pre-screwed speculation.
Given that, I'd rather see a 22-7 mid-major than an 18-13 major. Doesn't mean I'm right, just personal prejudice.

How about a 24-7 mid-major?

X is losing by 10 at half to St. Joe's. Killing me, homes, killing me.

I don't care which of these teams gets in and which one don't, I don't want to hear any bitching come Sunday night. You should have won a couple of more games.

No question on our part. I won't *****.
I'd still like to see VCU get in. We won't turn down the bid.

ESPN (not Lunardi) argued that it could come down to Illinois State vs. VCU for that last bid. ESPN thinks Illinois State will just edge out VCU based on the MVC being a stronger conference.

I'm not so sure of that. The MVC is stronger, but VCU won the Colonial. Illinois State finished second in the MVC and **** the bed in the MVC championship game.

I'd probably pick the Rams myself.

You can't.
Against the rules.
Al McGuire was the last coach to do it, in 1970.
