I lament the fact I will miss this. Four summers ago, I got addicted to four-by-fours (four patties, four slices of cheese). Got gall bladder surgery at the end of the summer.

Still, the one near my apartment in LA receives my patronage quite often.

I heard the lines at Phillippe's were a mile long, literally.
In-N-Out is awesome, but I gave up hamburgers about 4 years ago. You can probably guess why. I eat other bad-for-you stuff, but I'm sticking with my hamburger prohibition.

When it comes to fast food, Quiznos is definitely better. In 'N Out is good, but it isn't as amazing as everyone made it out to be before I came out here.

The West Coast chapter of SportsJournalists.com Nation will undoubtedly rejoice in this little tidbit that graced my inbox today from a co-worker.

In-n-Out's 60th Year Anniversary is Wednesday, October 22nd. All hamburgers will be sold for 25 cents, Cheeseburgers 30 cents, Fries 15 cents, and drinks are 10 cents!!! So mark your calendars!

I warn you. Start lining up now. The lines for this will make the Star Wars movie lines look like a grocery check-out line on a Sunday morning.

Exactly, Buck. A good deli is gold. Had myself a tremendous pastrami and corned beef on rye today.

Well, sportshack, I do like me some Quizno's. Can't beat the $5 large sub deal they got going right now.

But nothing can top a good local deli. I've probably sampled more SoCal delis in the last 18 months than anyone should (of course, that's due to moving three times!) Found some great ones, Italian and otherwise.

If you do stay in Burbank (and if Dodger Stadium is part of the deal, then it's a perfect location) ... you must eat lunch at Tony's Deli on Magnolia Ave. Runner-up: Santoro's on Burbank Blvd. Absolutely fantastic sandwiches.
