We Are the World - with a more insufferable group of people than last time.

I thought this was going to be a thread about My Boys!

it was confirmed on TV Guide's Internet page that the show has been picked up for a fourth season, although it would only head back into production in January 2010 - with the new season premiering on TBS in the following summer

It's coming baaaaaaaaaaaaack!!!!

I thought this thread was going to be about this:

An insufferable group of people who will raise millions of dollars for Haiti.

Yes, but can't we go 10 minutes without hearign someone begging for money for Haiti (and this means you, too, Michelle Obama)? It's about time for some responsible news organization to check the books on all the groups soliciting funds to see how much is actually getting there. Not to sound cruel or an uncouth slob, but it would be nice to know

That got fast-forwarded through soooo quickly when I got home.

Lou: You know, I went to the McDonald's in Shelbyville on Friday
night --
Wiggum: [interrupting] The McWhat?
Lou: Uh, the McDonald's. I, I never heard of it either, but they
have over 2,000 locations in this state alone.
Eddie: Must've sprung up overnight.
-- Ignorance is bliss, "Twenty-Two Short Films About Springfield"

Lou: You know, the funniest thing though; it's the little
differences.
Wiggum: Example.
Lou: Well, at McDonald's you can buy a Krusty Burger with cheese,
right? But they don't call it a Krusty Burger with cheese.
Wiggum: Get out! Well, what do they call it?
Lou: A Quarter Pounder with cheese.
Wiggum: Quarter Pounder with cheese? Well, I can picture the cheese,
but, uh, do they have Krusty partially gelatinated non-dairy
gum-based beverages?
Lou: Mm-hm. They call 'em, "shakes."
Eddie: Huh, shakes. You don't know what you're gettin'.
-- Don't think you want to know,

One of the network news shows did that and found something like a third of the money raised had gone directly to aid, although it pointed out that some funds were being held until later intentionally. They listed four aid groups that had the worst turnaround on donations, but other than Doctors Without Borders, I forget what they were.

That was helpful!

Just watched it all the way through. Not as bad as some have said, though they did make a few interesting choices. Leading off with Justin Bibier? Really?

Also, I guess you can give the Dan Aykroyd Memorial "What the **** is that guy doing there?" Award to Vince Vaughn ...

Over under on the story breaking about a good chunk of this money lining the pockets of certain artists: April.

Ya, it was ... Money held back or "redirected" to other troubled spots to be named later (sigh).

How about the Brian Wilson " Who Am I. Where Am I Award.

Yeah, 36 top 40 hits, and I'll let you figure out what innovations were used on this song.

I ask this again ... who imitated Bruce Springsteen taking a ****?
