Obama: I did drugs, drank, went after girls and didn't do well in high school

I don't give a rat's ass about what so-and-so did in high school, or even college (unless they have a lengthy rap sheet of multiple offenses, thereby indicating a terminal form of dumbass).

If you can show me documentable evidence that excessive or inappropriate use of intoxicants impeded someone from doing his job in the last 10 years or so, I might think twice, but otherwise, I'll let present behavior and stands on issues be my primary guides.

No ****.
How many people you know under the age of 40 have never gotten high or never did dumb things while drinking? I know of maybe one or two and it's not like I hang out with a bunch of scumbags and low-lifes.
This whole thing of presidential candidates having to admit to dumb **** they did in high school/college is silly. I would feel hypocritical as hell asking someone about the **** they did in school. Obama sure ain't gonna lose any votes because he got drunk and high in high school (anybody that votes against him was gonna vote against him for another reason)

I don't give a damn what Obama did. I also don't give a damn what Bush did, although it seems some of you have a double standard there.

Bush presents himself as a morally good individual. While governor he continued to try to increase the minimum sentences of first time drug offenses. However, when the issue came up about his own use, Bush claimed that it was “youthful indiscretion.” The double standard exists right there.

Bush was allowed to get away with the “youthful indiscretions” (which some report to be well into his 30s) but he now wants to punish others for the same behavior. If Bush was able to admit that what he did was wrong and that he knew it to be wrong at least a case could be made.

Other than that, I didn’t really care how many lines of coke he did off Laura’s back.

If you think for a second that 99 percent of the scumbags walking the streets of Washington don't have double standards, you're fooling no one but yourself.

A-****ing-men.

He may have just gotten my vote.

You're going to vote for someone because he drank, smoked pot, snorted cocaine and chased women earlier in his life?

No, because I know there is at least ONE lie he isn't telling me that the rest of these ****ers are.

You said he may have just gotten your vote because he's a "candidate who shares in common the experiences of every male American born since the founding of the Republic."

Not because he's telling one less lie than the rest.

jgmac's post, to me, brimmed with sarcasm - this is the first guy ever that has done what Obama admitted to? Do you believe that?

My response took that perceived sarcasm and went from there.

Excellent point.

Not really.

The problem is that the double standard I’m referring to is that Bush isn't cognizant that what he did could have landed in jail for many years if he didn’t have the relatives that he had. There are many in Washington that have double standards, but the majority at least recognize it for what it is.

Lets review:
In High School, Obama got high, got laid, got beers, played ball.

In High School, Hillary was a Goldwater Girl.

Yab, I'm not gonna jump on your ass just for posting this without also knowing your motivation. But I have to ask. Are you saying they're not qualified because of the above reasons?

It's much more simple than that. Bush = R. Obama = D.

I guess, then, Bush needs to push for legalization of drugs and an end to DUIs.

Blah, blah, blah. I should have known better.

That's such a case of ridiculousness I almost can't believe I'm responding.

Dude...it's the holidays. Why do you have to be an inaccurate ass?

Who the **** cares what any of the candidates did in high school. Tell me what they have done in office.

I think I'm spot on. Why do YOU have to be an inaccurate ass?

I once wore a pair of daisy duke shorts, a wifebeater with hearts on the nipples and hockey goalie leg pads to school on rent-a-senior day in high school (per the orders of my best friend's little brother -- why he wanted to see me in that outfit, I'll never know).

That has about as much to do with this presidential election as anything else in that article.

For the record, I have not worn daisy dukes or a wifebeater since. :)

Well, it's nice that you think that, but you're still wrong. I for one couldn't give a swut if Bush did coke or anything else in high school. It's such a common thing, how does it make a difference. You're screaming about a double-standard that no one on here has applied yet.

But the lengths to which you go to stir up trouble knows no bounds, so I can't really say I'm all that surprised. Enjoy the holidays.

Read back and you'll see there is a double standard. If pointing that out is an attempt to "stir up trouble," well, that just shows how hopeless you are. Although I guess, according to you, "stirring up trouble" is not accepting my left-leaning marching orders.

I doubt you can enjoy the holidays, but please try.

I used to **** my pants all the time.

Of course, I was two years old when I was doing it. Does this disqualify me from the presidency?

You doubt I can enjoy the holidays? BWUHAHAHA! That's pretty funny.

The double-standard of which you speak exists only in your mind. Only in your mind. But I shan't try to help you to understand because, well, the return on the effort wouldn't be worth it.

Yes, what has Obama, or, for that matter, Hillary, done while in office?
