Anybody know the real story?

The Yankees are going to fly 90 miles to Philly? Or go by limo motorcade?

Or there is always Blondies West, 79th off broadway), where Yankee coaches go, but I figure we see them enough.
In any case, come ... come ....come

dunno that there is any "real" story, spnited. greg beat his dad to retirement, plain and simple. and the race is on to hire a replacement, with at least one nydn assistant sports editor chasing it hard.
oh, and ginger, hoist one for me in the wee hours after the game.

I wondered what the story was about a new SE.
I did find it funny that Greg retired in his early 60s and Bill is still drawing for the NYDN in his late 80s
I know what you mean. But I still found it odd that the old man is still drawing and even odder that the Daily News still runs his stuff. I really can't think of another paper with a sports cartoonist.spnited said:Not "funny Ha Ha," drip.
Just interesting that the old man keeps going strong at age 87 and the kid retires at 62 or 63.
