I promise, I won't try to spoil everyone's fun like I did last year, but before I leave, what was The Thing That Everyone Will Be Talking About Tomorrow this year?

According to the link I just saw: it will be Kanye cutting off Taylor Swift to be an asshole.

That's a good thing.

Kanye cutting off Taylor Swift is a good thing? I'm not really a fan of hers, but what he did was despicable. There was no excuse for that.

It's all scripted anyway. And besides, if it was legitimate, she wouldn't win an award for anything.

::)

Even if that were true, which it's not, it doesn't excuse his extreme douchebaggery.

Kanye's just mad because people keep thinking he's a gay fish.

It'll give the cable talkers a week's worth of shows. Screw health care - lets talk about Taylor Swift getting dissed by Kanye.

No? It's all an act. How many of these events have gone off without drama in the past few years? How about the Eminem thing last time out?

And please. There are hundreds, if not thousands, of high school girls in the nation with comparable talent. She's just fortunate to have the spotlight and the platform to perform on.

That's kind of the whole point, isn't it?

Sadly.

Yeah, maybe so, but so what? The point is, this was her platform and her moment in the spotlight, and that rat****er had no business doing what he did.

You might not like Taylor Swift or her music - for the record, I do - but that's beside the point. What that asshole did tonight is completely lacking in class and manners.

I was flipping back and forth between the game and MTV and saw something that looked like Swift's first award and it cut to the Tracey Morgan sketch. Not sure what that was in regards to the Kanye circus. Just saw the replay with Kanye.. Interesting to say the least.

Well the award for class should go to Beyonce, who brought Swift back on stage after Beyonce won for video of the year to let Swift finish her acceptance speech.

Enough of that, can we talk about his head? It looked like he was wearing a Tron helmet.

I can't front, I love Kanye's music to death. As a person? He just proved himself tonight to be a piece of ****

I told someone else tonight, reconciling my love for Kanye's music is like dealing with my love for early R Kelly with Aaliyah-marrying/peeing on minors R Kelly.

Amen, Liesl. She's a freaking 16-year-old. Give her her moment, you self-important douchebag.

But I still love his music. Such a conundrum!

Not that it changes anything, but pretty sure she's 18 now.

Agreed. Now THAT is class. :)

He got pissed over "Single Ladies"? I've never seen the video. I also wouldn't watch the video if the only other thing on TV was a Lawrence Welk-a-thon. I don't give a damn if the video was good or how good it was. Single Ladies is a glowing example of how ****ty music in America is today. It's a horrendous, horrendous song, and it's up for awards.
