I am back. :)

What a welcome turn of events.

Back to sports full time by college football season. Can't believe it. 10 years ago, I transitioned to news for more money. Now in a larger city (with actual sports), moving into a plum job. Negotiated everything I asked for. Shocked they said yes. Holy crap.

Yet now I come back with a decade of hard news reporting and all the web skills I need.

Oh wait. Now I have to deal with those swimming parents again. Better than knocking on the doors of parents of dead soldiers or teens involved in crashes.

You came back to deal with prep parents? You must be a sucker for punishment... :)

Congrats man...

So you've always been a hack, and you've always worked in media?
There seems to be a lack of clarity or accuracy = sports is perfect for you.

So now when your kid doesn't get that baseball scholarship, the writer you blame it on is ... you?

Congrats and good luck.

Congrats, Hack.

And thanks for pissing in his cereal, Buck. Great job!

Thanks all.

Yes this came out of nowhere, really. Main sports anchor left for a big city and none of the candidates really impressed, I suppose. Mgmt approached me. I was floored as I've been out of the game for all of my 30s.

As for baseball scholarships, I fully expect all to be eliminated in ten years. Haha.

So really your new title should be formerexsportsmediahack, since you were never an exmediahack and are now certainly a sportsmediahack, right?

Having been there before and returned, welcome back from the dark side ...

I'm leaning toward reconstitutedmediahack.
