I figure this is a good place for folks who don't give a crap about these two teams or the Super Bowl.

Darnell Dockett was prepared to ask for a trade if Ken Whisenhunt were retained.
There have been a few stories now on how unpopular this coach was becoming with his players.

After Brent Musberger went ga-ga over Alabama quarterback A.J. McCarron’s girlfriend during the BCS championship game, Dockett sent her messages on Twitter asking her if she wanted to go to a strip club together and eat chicken wings.

“If I really wanted to get this girl, there’s a bunch of different ways I’d have went about it,” Dockett said, insisting he was joking. “And I would have got her if I really wanted her. But I don’t think she’s my type.

“I’m not into the thinner girls, and the modeling thing like that. I like ’hood chicks. I like girls with a couple of stab wounds and bullet holes, been knocked up a few times. . . . I like girls who have bad credit when they’re 21.”

Isn't that sweet. Jeff Saturday, who made the NFC Pro Bowl team, played one down for the AFC so he could snap the ball to Peyton Manning one last time. Saturday had already announced he was retiring after the game.

Nice moment or just more proof that the Pro Bowl is a joke?

Well, Upshaw was the one who completely ****ed the players over on a regular basis.

True, but Smith was the one in charge for the current deal. Of course, it was really a matter of Goodell taking the power for himself before that negotiation, then the players' union failed to properly address it in the new labor agreement.

I understand the criticism of Smith, but it's nothing compared to what Upshaw agreed to on a regular basis. That guy was completely in the owner's pockets, but players were scared to death to criticize him publicly.

The rep on the team I covered, who was as smart and level-headed as you would typically find among NFL players, hated Upshaw and swore that the bulk of the player reps agreed with him.

NFL owners have it so much better than the other pro sports that it's not even funny.

This is interesting. Thought he started living up to the potential in South Florida. I guess the team figures it got as much as they were going to get out of him, but it has no other options at RB. Mike Mayock favorite Daniel Thomas has been awful/injury prone.

Bush was a victim of all the hype coming out of college, but he had some nice games last season on a team that had no other offensive weapons. He'd be a nice addition for a number of teams. Maybe Buffalo needs another back.

You don't expect big things from Lamar Miller and Brian Hartline?

He did have some good games. I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not, but Buffalo is just fine with Spiller and FredEx (whey they touch the ball).

I'm being sarcastic. Spiller is one of the most dynamic players in the league, and they need to get him more involved on a regular basis. Like Bush, though, Spiller can't be a workhorse. But whoever's running the offense in Buffalo should figure out a way to get him 20 touches EVERY game. If that means less for Fred Jackson, so be it.
