I don't know the guy they're talking about, but I know of him through a third party. He was nicknamed "The Sheriff" and worked for SportsTicker for many years. A real asshole. MAJOR asshole. While ESPN's Stats & Analysis team hired some of the better SportsTicker people, but The Sheriff was not one of them. He has since been fired from Ticker.
