OK, here's the deal. Moved in with my roommate April 1. It's an awesome setup, because she's rarely home when I am, and when she is, it's just her and her boyfriend eating dinner or watching a game. And I get my own bathroom. Plenty of privacy.

The problem is her dog. It's a labrapoodle. Every time I walk into the house, walk out of my room (whether I've kept the door open or closed), etc., when the dog is here, it goes nuts. I have tried playing with it, feeding it, calling it over, opening my door for it to come in (it won't) ... basically nothing works. The only way the dog shuts up is if they hold it by the collar close to one of them.

A couple times, she has left me alone with the dog -- usually she takes the dog to her mom's house when she's working, at the boyfriend's place, etc. -- including today. Now the dog isn't yelping, but she is cowering in the corner, as if I'm conspiring to have her dragged off to the local pound. I've tried petting her, playing with her, and it still isn't working.

I love living here, but having a dog be a tool, even if it's only three or four times each week, is annoying. And I'm a dog guy.

It's a labrapoodle.....what do expect? You probably crap bigger than it.

May I recommend some "Homeward Bound"? No dog could possibly turn down that flick.

SportsJournalists.com never disappoints me. Now, someone help me find some answers.

Be happy it sits in the corner and ignores you. I once had a girlfriend who's dog would try sniffing my butt the gf and I were going at it ... kinda spoils the moment.

Call him ...

One of the things that worked with my dogs is to hold it's muzzle closed with your hand and make eye contact. The alpha dog in a pack will establish dominance by holding another dog's muzzle in it's mouth. It seemed to work.

Is it whining and ****? Does it bark? If it is being quiet and just being a puss sitting in the corner, just ignore the little *****. If it is whining and barking and ****, "accidentally" let it get out one day never to be found again. LOL

(Good Doc, damn, you're losing it :D )

I was still laughing over Xan's red rocket post.

It's part poodle. Poodles are messed in the head. Now stop worrying about what a dog thinks of you. It senses your confusion, which freaks it out even more.

I don't care what it thinks of me, it's just an annoying **** when it barks, and that annoys the **** out of me.
