Figured we could have our own thread as well.

So far, we have myself, Tommy D, sgreenwell and Writing Waffle. Anyone else I missed?

Waffle: Tommy D said we'll wait till this weekend to start.

PSN account is same as handle on here.

I would suck it up and buy it now, but I'm dangerously low on food. It's either bacon and eggs the rest of the week, or potential food poisoning. YAY!

And another question — for someone who is new to this, what's the set-up for playing time, level, etc?

I've always played 5 minute quarters on All-American level.

It's open for debate, I guess.

I'm fine with this, if we actually want to lose some games here and there. On AA, I'll lose some games, whereas on levels below that I usually don't have problems with the computer AI.

And my PSN ID is the same as my ID here - SGreenwell.

If we're going to be in the Sun Belt, I actually wouldn't be opposed to dropping to whatever level is below AA.

I'm in, too. PSN is Angels_for_life. I've been playing on varsity since I got the game, but I'm about to bump it up to All-American. I started a dynasty as OC at Wyoming and ran circles around Kentucky and Air Force, so I guess it's time to give myself a challenge instead of cakewalks.

I'm good for AA. Maybe a tick up to 6 min, or w/e it is XBOX Dynasty does?

As far as the conf/no conf debate, I'm a little more partial to opening it up. No chance of us playing in a natty if we all play in the Sun Belt/C-USA/MWC

I was going to go with, at least for the first year,

Varsity and 7 minute quarters.

I think we can bump it to AA after the first year.

I like the 7 minute quarters because 5 feels too rushed. This adds an extra 8 minutes to the game.

What do you guys think?

Also if anyone needs to add me my PSN is:

bigray2284

Love the idea of longer quarters. I usually play 8 min and AA, but I'm all good with 7. Will not hear me complain, just glad to be included. lol

Seven minutes sounds good.

What about teams? I think it'd be easier if we were all in the same conference, at least for the first season. And we gotta figure out when we'll play user vs. user games. I know we all have different schedules to sort through.

I also think it's a good idea to keep our settings close to the 360 league, just because there could be an exodus when the PS4 comes out for next year, given the reception to the new XBox so far.

As far as the conference thing, I'm open to whatever. How many people do we have? We could confine it to two conferences, that way there is still a chance that there would be a user vs. user national championship, and we'd still be able to have some user vs. user games from time to time.

I remember in Xbox 09 we tried a week with eight-minute quarters. I lost a game to AZgrad 87-80, and someone else hit triple digits. We went to five minute quarters from there and haven't looked back (though 09 was ridiculously easy to exploit -- Jake topped 100 in a five-minute game, while I had games of 118 and 150 points in the final season.

Is it too late to get in on this? I figured since I missed the boat on the 360 league, I'd jump on the PS3 one.

It is not. We're still waiting on a few to get the game.

Following up on MM's post: I say we drop it to 6-minute quarters. If a game gets too lopsided -- especially against a CPU opponent -- it gets boring fast.

Sucked it up and bought the game today. $60 and being broke now is the same as $60 and being broke three days from now.

When will we choose teams to pick?

I believe we're still waiting on sgreenwell and prince to get the game.

How about we starting making lists of possible teams we want to use?
