NBC's The Cape

Anyone watching this? I'm not sure what to make of it yet ...

Me neither. I'm a little disappointed right now, but superhero stories are always a bit tired at the beginning ... it could certainly get better.

But it being an NBC show, I'm not betting on it. I keep wanting to compare it to Heroes, which had a better beginning but tailed off into incredible crappiness.

Didn't watch, but they put capes on statues all over the place near where I live to promote it. It was odd.

I'm waiting for it to come on out here in the Rockies. I'm betting it's going to be gone after four episodes but I will always give a comic book/superhero shows a try.

I didn't watch it because I had a feeling it would suck. My roommate watched it at his girlfriend's house last night and told me today that it sucks.

Now I know the reason NBC was hyping the crap out of this the past two weeeks....The show was crap. I likened it to a poor-man's made for tv version of Christian Bale's Batman movie.

No, my roommate is. He also got me turned on to Fringe and I bought season 1 a while ago so I could watch it from the beginning. He seems to be spot on about this stuff.

Now I know the reason NBC was hyping the crap out of this the past two weeeks....The show was crap. I likened it to a poor-man's made for tv version of Christian Bale's Batman movie.

Doesn't it always seem that way (Superhype = Supercrap)? The poster child for that is "Emily's Reasons Why Not." Hyped all football season long ... canceled after one episode. I wouldn't be surprised if it was canceled during it's airing and only aired on the west coast because not doing so would have left a half-hour hole for the affiliates to scramble to fill.
