Per WWL radio:

And per ESPN, they found a military man to replace him! Appearently the military is really the only thing that can fix things in New Orleans:

A league source told ESPN The Magazine's Ric Bucher that the Hornets will name general Jeff Bower as Scott's replacement and hire veteran coach Tim Floyd as his top assistant.

after last night's action against the suns, i'm not that surprised...that was an awful, awful defensive performance

I watched the first half and purposely waited to see how many the Suns would tally by halftime.
75 points.
And mostly with Steve Nash on the bench.

Seems like just a few months back the Hornets were extending the Spurs in the late rounds of the West bracket.

The team had tuned him out but the management of the franchise is terrible.

Tim Floyd? Huh?

Floyd ended his NBA career with a 93-235 overall record, including the playoffs, admitting in interviews that, as an NBA coach, "I wasn't very good at it".

This is the same Tim Floyd that sucked copious amounts of anus as the Hornets coach before, right?

Granted, he went .500. But he didn't have Mashburn (hurt) and Davis flat out quit.

I'm just glad the thread title clarified that this was the NBA's Byron Scott we were talking about

at this point i wonder if the hornets are just going to dump everybody for expirings.

Can someone just tell me how Byron Scott gets fired twice and Lawrence Frank holds a job? Not that Scott is any coaching genius, but at least he's accomplished a few things. Frank has done absolutely nothing but make a franchise worse year after year, and he's still going.

Show us your photos of Rod Thorn, Lawrence.

I thought he was going to be fired in the off season after the Hornets quit on him in the playoffs last season.

Lawrence Frank will be fired as soon as the Russian signs the papers to buy the Nets.
