So I'm watching Scrubs and I'm a few minutes behind. Cat jumps on the left side of the chair, meows at me, strolls across the keyboard and plops down in between my right arm and the right arm of the chair...and right on the remote control. And she somehow lands on the last channel button.

I yell at her as she purrs. I jump back to Scrubs which is in commercial. Imagine my surprise a few minutes later, when I realize Brendan Fraser's character DIED in the three minutes I missed. AAAAAAAAARGGGH!!!!

Damage done, the damn cat moved to the couch and is now licking herself without a care in the world. And the remote control is permanently affixed to my left shoulder.

Damn cats.

My baby started typing a reply on SportsJournalists.com yesterday, but I censored him.

Muahahahahahahahahahahaha.

This is why you hide your remotes in a drawer when you don't want the channel changed.

Least yours hasn't figured out how to turn it on without the remore when your not at home.

It took you three minutes to change the channel back?

Well, Caveman :D when you get DVR and/or TIVO, you'll learn that you can pause something for up to half an hour and then watch it. You can rewind for up to half an hour as well. But if you change channels, you lose the programming you were watching.

There's an eight second remark in there somewhere, but damned if I can think of one...

Cat threads are a shameless way to get the ladies to notice you.

Now now.

I talk about my cats with SC all the time.

This is true . . . cats and hair metal . . . what more could a girl want in a conversation.

OK, I can get on board with that.

And you should be a fly on the, uhh, Internet when we talk about our cats with hairballs!!!

If your cats were bigger, they'd eat you and then poop your remains in a sacrificial circle around a Jay Horwitz press release.

I wouldn't have phrased it exactly that way, but your basic idea is correct.

I kept a couple of cats for a friend who was leaving for another city until she could get settled. One of them spent all of his waking hours tgrying to figure out how to kill me, I swear.

I don't beat around the bush. And I'm right. I'm like that guy from the San Diego Zoo, only without all the pets.

That's why I record everything I'm watching even if I'm not going to watch it again ... then you just delete it when it's over ...
