If I'm slow on internet phenoms I apologize. But how many have seen this? Pretty funny.

There was no irony in Canada in 1965. We also have a beaver on our nickel.

Most Canadians haven't found any references to "beaver" funny since they were about ten years old.

I think beaver references are funny, but then again I'm well aware I'm not like most Canadians. ;)

HC & I stayed at the Beaver Motel in Thornbury a couple of years ago. We were off for dinner at the *** Pub which, by the way, is terrific.

The Beaver Motel didn't inspire any jokes but there were two guys outside their room cleaning fish and cooking 'em on their portable BBQ.

Well, you're a dual citizen, so you're half giggling adolescent boy over such references.

It's not hard to agree with this explanation.

That struck me as a retro-looking commercial, rather than a genuinely old one.

Certainly not old, because in the 60s, beer was sold in stubbies.
I don't think its a real commercial. Not even a beer company would be that blatant.

"Wynona's Big Brown Beaver" is a great song.

Been to Thornbury many times but never stayed at the Beav. I recommend The Mill as a great place to eat as well.
