Wow, what's it say when a sports writer is putting forth more daring social commentary than any political pundits?

Oh no, here we go again......

Note to self -- stay out of this one.

(And I am starting to wonder what others do -- is this guy and Jemele Hill the only columnists in America? And why does someone see the need to post everything this guy writes....)

Sorry zagoshe, I'm new here. Just thought this was a controversial column worthy of discussion, especially since he's putting his money where his mouth is.

I repeat ... I think I'm going to hang myself.

Can we ask Webby or Moddy to develop another section of the board just for Jemele Hill and Jason Whitlock columns? It would probably make SportsJournalists.com easier to manage.

Oh god, nevermind. Someone delete the thread if it's such a big f'n deal. Sorry.

JUST DON'T CLICK THE THREAD.

If you don't want to read about Whitlock, why would you click a thread called "Latest Whitlock?" What did you think it was going to be about?

I enjoy the Whitlock/Hill threads because they post under their real names and you get to better understand how they crafted their arguments. I think it is interesting.

I liked it. I liked it a lot. Others on here might say I have no opinion because I'm not of the same race as someone I have called a friend for 13 years, but he's right: Social change comes from small steps. And if he wants to call for an end to black on black exploitation, good for Jason.

I was half-kidding with my post. It just seems like every time they write something, appear on TV, eat a meal, there's a thread about them. I think it's kind of funny. I wasn't ripping anyone. I was just curious why everybody feels the need to post EVERYTHING they write. McNuggets gave a legitimate answer to that.

They could save some space by adding one never-ending Bill Simmons-bashing thread as well.

Really, though, the way I read a lot of this is that people do need to quit being so PC about getting bull**** out of society. If things are every going to change -- with anything from racism to political apathy -- you can't dangle your hand off the top of the fence.
You jump right the **** over and get into the thick of it.
I'll admit I haven't read every story he's written in the past few weeks, but this one was damn good.

Another column that Whitlock has hit out of the park.

Whitlock is now calling for the demise of BET. Tomorow he will be on Mike and Mad Dog no doubt talking about his column.

Interesting to note both radio station and BET are both owned by Sumner Redstone - Majority shareholder of CBS and Viacom.

Hell, Boots post everything anyone writes... you don't jump him like you did this poor newb....

Whitlock is hotter than A Rod this month in terms of hitting em out of park.
