I'm pretty much of a religious Rolling Stone reader. And I'll admit, I find some of Taibbi's stuff embarrassingly entertaining (I hold anyone in high esteem who can and will characterize Tom DeLay as having "an asscrack face.")
On top of that, I'm about as left-leaning, anti religious-right, anti-war as it comes.
And while I don't doubt the journalistic effort behind RS's political pieces, there are times when even I'm left staggering from it's tunnel vision w/r/t the GOP.
Yes, I would say most Republican politicians, along with a goodly portion of the Christian community, are responsible for the social/cultural/environmental/fiscal/international/constitutional situation we're in. But good grief, that doesn't mean a Democrat's blood will heal the sick, for ****'s sake.
There is, I am sure, graft and corruption aplenty on the left side as well. And while I admire RS's nobility, I would like to point out that a true effort to educate the public involves even the sides we'd rather not see judged harshly.
Democratic politicians are still often politicians, after all.
