The Marshall Independent, an award-winning daily in a region where sports is very high profile, will have an opening this summer for sports editor. This is an important job on our staff, responsible for overseeing coverage of 14 area high schools and a Division II university located in Marshall. Also responsible for managing a five-person sports staff. Pagination, strong writing and leadership skills a must. The Independent has repeatedly been named the state's best small daily sports section and we want to continue that tradition.
