London's Olympic organizers asked the Who's management if Keith Moon could perform at an event. Moon staggered off this mortal coil in 1978.

Instead of Moon, maybe they can ask that dude in San Francisco (Scot Halpin) who filled in for Moon when he was too blotto to play?

Edit: ****! He's dead too. Step right up, Kenney Jones!

Wow. Only 34 years off I guess.

Although a dead Keith Moon on drums is still probably better than the great majority of other, live options...

"You did not give me what I wanted. I’m greatly disappointed. When I say I want the Moon, I want the Moon.”

"Cross him off the list then."

I actually did like the manager's reply, though.

The Olympics should call on Keith Richards as a compromise between Moon and an actual living artist.

They can get Ginger Baker. He's still alive ... barely.
