COOKEVILLE -- The Putnam Sheriff's Department's domestic violence officer was arrested Friday night on a charge of domestic assault.

Deputy Kim Keith, 33, of Shannon Drive, spent 12 hours in a jail cell following her arrest by Deputy Sgt. David Gibbons, according to Sheriff David Andrews.

On Friday night, Deputy Keith was accused by her husband, Michael Keith, of hitting him on the side of the neck during an argument, says a warrant taken by Deputy Sgt. Gibbons.
