I saw that last night -- awesome. He was also on TDS, and I didn't think he was very funny at all. It felt like he was just winging it, and I think the only reason he was on at all was simply to promo his new show.

LOVED Root of Evil last night, it will become a Wednesday night must watch. Opening with Oprah v. Catholic Church (which is the greater root of evil) was hilarious. Great concept, good showcase for Paul F. Tompkins and Greg Geraldo (who should be expecting a hit squad from Bill O'Donahues Catholic League right about...NOW!, Very funny stuff. Next week Viagra v. Donald Trump.

The format of "Root of All Evil" did seem a bit weak. Each of the two guest comedians did about five minutes on his respective evil, and the rest of the half-hour was introductions and transitions and gavel-banging and audience cheering.

I saw him at the MGM in Vegas last year. I don't think I ever laughed that much or hard at someone.

And I got the honor of him responding to me "w00t"-ing about golf in 100+ degree heat. "Don't you w00t. Don't you ****ing w00t" was his response. Now lives among our friend's parlance.
