LeBron

That was one of the most amazing individual performances I've seen in a while ... and I think we all can put to rest any talk about his play in the clutch.

We only had time for a brief. The game ended after deadline, but they let us hold for it.

I blew out the cover. What a ****ing game he delivered.

And I wish I had more space on a late deadline, but I didn't.

I'll probably run it back in more depth tomorrow. What a ****ing game that guy had.

What was on your cover, dan, that you would blow it up for a wire story on LeBron?
Not being a wiseass here. I'm seriously trying to figure out why anybody with no connection to Cleveland or Detroit who blow up the cover for this.

No one ever did what LeBron just did, right?

Has anyone ever scored the last 25 points for his team in any ballgame?

I think not. What a ****ing game that guy just had.

What a brilliant performance, on the national stage.

And the guy is just 22.

What a ****ing game that guy just had.

spirited: billy donovan up top with a rail column on donovan also, pistons/cavs as the display, golf down at the bottom.

my paper is very different from yours. it's an international thing.

Checking to see how Iverson did in Game 1 of the 2001 Finals* ...

EDIT: OK, the 76ers scored 13 of the final 15, including 7 straight by Iverson. AI had 38 points early in the second half, though. That's the best comparison to such a one-man show as we saw from LeBron tonight. All it means is that he has no one else on his team worthy of scoring a point, but he's good enough -- like AI -- to carry a team like this in the playoffs.

* a slightly more significant game than Game 5 of any conference finals, IMO.

OK. I guess with no local MLB etc. to worry about these things matter more

It was already on our cover. No local MLB team, we do have an NBADL team and we're fairly close to Salt Lake, so the NBA playoffs are definitely on our radar. We've got a later deadline too.

It was on our cover all along; just gave it better play than it would have gotten otherwise.
