We're down to four potential buyers.
Can't remember them all, but CNHI is one of them.
Is my paper ****ed?

At $500M in debt and stock at 1¢, JRC is no longer a concern. Watch out for CNHI, however. They'll be JRC in 5 years.

Good morning staff members -
Many of you, like me, are likely hearing rumors circulating around the community and company that our newspaper or division has been purchased by a new owner. Names of various media companies and investment banking groups have been mentioned to me either directly or indirectly. I've also learned this morning of a rumor stating that the closing of the sale was either to have already taken place or would be occurring today.
In light of this misinformation, it is important for you to know that Landmark leadership is still actively engaged in the sale process pertaining to LCNI. Final purchase bids for the division were received several weeks ago and discussions with interested parties are still underway. No sale closure has taken place.
Like you, I am anxiously awaiting the finalization of this process and look forward to learning who our new owners will be. I remain optimistic that an acceptable offer will be agreed upon between Landmark and a successful bidder and that an announcement could be made soon.
In the meantime, however, it is critically important that employees in every area of our operation focus fully on carrying out work functions to the highest level of performance possible.
By dedicating ourselves to improving our products and services and growing our business profits each month through the remainder of the year, we will not only meet and exceed our readers and advertisers expectations, but we will also increase the value of our organization for a new company owner, whoever that might be.
