hope this isn't a d_b

Gilligan heads to the big screen:

Producer hoping for Michael Cera, whoever that is, to play Gilligan.

Who ya got for MaryAnn and Ginger?

KJIM, you don't live in the US, right? Because Michael Cera is pretty damn famous these days.

That was my first reaction to this post, too, Big Circus. Ha.

Also, not a bad pick for Gilligan.

I must not live in the U.S. either. Who is the dude?
Hell, I still think that's Courteney Cox on Two and A Half Men. My son insists it is not.

One of the leads in Superbad (the thin one) as well as the guy who knocked up Juno in some movie, the name of which I can't recall. Before that, he was on Arrested Development.

Playing the mother?

Good pick on the little buddy. I'll wait for it to appear on AMC if that's OK, though.

Jack Black or Zach whatever-his-name is has to be Skipper.

I'd cast Jessica Simpson as Ginger

Good one.
I still swear she's the woman who now isn't going to marry Charlie.

Bad news is you're wrong.

Good news is you're not the only one who sees the resemblance.

Yeah, I kind of figured I was wrong.
No denying the resemblance, though.

I would probably watch a GI movie if Michael Cera were Gilligan.

And Megan Fox should play Mary Ann and dress up like a ***** and try to outwhore whoever plays Ginger.

I dunno, Moddy. There's about a two or three cup-size difference between the actresses.

No. Mary Ann has to seem wholesome and naive but hotter than Ginger.

Cast Paris Hilton as Ginger then. Not only does she have the vapid starlet thing down cold, but they could cast Jenna Jameson as Mary Ann she'd look wholesome by comparison.

How about the girl from Community as Mary Ann?

Entertainment Weekly pegged Christina Hendricks for Ginger. Couldn't disagree.
I've got to say though if they go with Cera for Gilligan, wouldn't have a problem making the whole thing a Judd Apetow deal complete with pathos with Paul Rudd as the professor, Steve Carrell and Jane Lynch as the Howells and Mila Kunis as Mary Ann.
