I guess the campus rape problem has been so overstated and over-publicised that we hardly pay attention to the stories anymore.

Somehow we missed this one yesterday, too:

The crime was horrific and the verdict stunningly swift. Two former Vanderbilt University football players are facing the possibility of decades in prison after it took a jury less than four hours to convict them for their roles in a 2013 sexual assault of an unconscious woman. Two more former football players await trial.
At a time of widespread alarm and almost daily news reports about sexual assaults on college campuses, it is hard to imagine a case more likely than this one, captured on video by the assailants, to mobilize a campus. As if to underscore how pervasive the concerns have become nationally, representatives from 76 Tennessee colleges and universities were holding a conference on the subject here, not far from the courthouse where Tuesday’s verdict played out.

Stanford students not shocked by campus rape report - SFGate
Freshman and star swimmer Brock Turner, 19, who has withdrawn from Stanford and has been banned from campus, was charged this week with five felonies, including two counts of rape, after allegedly meeting a woman at a campus gathering and sexually assaulting her.
The victim, who was not a student, was intoxicated and unconscious at the time, according to the Santa Clara County district attorney’s office. Two students passing by on bicycles stopped the attack and physically restrained Turner until police arrived, even as he tried to get away, prosecutors said.
