John Adams $1 gold coins

Gave a guy a dollar bill last night at work and he gave me a John Adams gold coin. Can you use those at stores and other places?

Problem is, every time they try a dollar coin, they don't make enough. People decide to collect them (which is retarded -- it's money, you dolt, there's a billion of them, and they aren't going to appreciate in value), and there's not enought for them to actually circulate. They need to FLOOD the market with them so that people get used to seeing them and using them.

It's absurd that we're not using dollar coins yet. They're so much more convenient and cheaper to make. Apparently surveys show that most people don't want dollar bills taken out of circulation, but who gives a ****? They should do it anyway.

Thankfully, there's a bank here that takes care of me and saves all the special coinage for me to collect.

And, FWIW, the government smiles a little smile every time one of you pockets one of those suckers. The dollar coin costs eight cents to produce. So every time you take one of those bad boys out of circulation, the government has made 92 cents.
