She called for advertisers to boycott the Cowboys.

I presume, at this point, she just walks away from ESPN.

She called for advertisers to boycott the Cowboys.

How the **** is that not within the scope of her position?

Suspend her tweeting against the company's interests, sure. But don't wrap it in the cloak of her prior indiscretion so as to avoid acknowledging that your corporation is bought and sold by the entities it purports to cover.

"This play always work. Change happens when advertisers are impacted. If you feel strongly about JJ's statement, boycott his advertisers."

There is a desperate need for an independent sports news organization. You have one whose lead baseball writer moonlights as an employee of Major League Baseball, and gets away with writing hatchet pieces about other leagues' PED policies without a word of disclosure to readers about his business interest. You have another that is so financially indebted to the NFL that it suspends the face of its supposed news organization for mildly crossing it.

Was she suspended before she even got a chance to tweet "your mama" to Jerry Jones?

If she had a beef with Shad Khan, maybe she gets away with it. But definitely not King Jerry.

I'd have a lot more respect for her if she just nutted up and quit on her own.

She obviously doesn't want to be there. IMO, at least.

Jemele Hill Suspended By ESPN Over Jerry Jones Tweets
If she really wants to be an opinion maker, maybe she should have contrasted Jerry Jones policy when it comes to domestic violence, ‘millions for defense not a cent for tribute’ vs the anthem. Jerry doesnt give a **** if his players sell drugs, use drugs, hire whores, or beat a woman. Just stand for the anthem and Jerry will let you beat a *****.

And while she’s on it, how about the NFLPA’s defense of players beating women, vocal and stinging of the NFL and Roger, but they are immasculated when it comes to Kaepernick.

If she wants to lead, take a real position. What she’s done is useless.

This could be her endgame. Worth noting though that when they did the layoffs, ESPN made no fuss about living up to its end of the contract ... but required all talent to do the same. If those people go back to work, they lose their ESPN pay.

In the case of Hill, the bad blood could make things very tense. She signed a "multiyear" contract last year. I feel like they have some leverage here.

Then fire her for being bad at her job. Don't pretend otherwise.
