Just do what I do and eat a diet consisting entirely of pasta and Rice Krispie Treats. :D

The only confirmed case I've had of food poisoning was from a Taco Bell 35 years ago (shiiiiiit). Speaking of shiiiiiiit, I was doing that, a lot. Thankfully nothing out of the front end, but still not a lot of fun. finally went to the doctor and he asked me if I'd had any fast food lately. I said I went to Burger King and Taco Bell. Without hesitation; "It's Taco Bell." Considering I;ve never had an issue at BK, I'm sure it was the Bell. Even the smell is gross.

Sorry for the TMI threadjack, but the last time I had T-Bell, after a night of moderate drinking, I felt the pangs at work the next day. Went into a stall in an empty bathroom (thankfully, nowhere near my office or floor), and out came a torrent of flatulance that would make any man blush. Right then, someone came into the stall next to me.

I tried to give a little delicate push, and the gates of hell opened up. Uncontrollable violent defecation, with splashes that sounded like a hurricane pounding the shore. Tried to stop it, but it wouldn't let up.

Finally, after about 30 seconds straight of this, I hear the guy in the stall next to me mutter, "Oh Jesus Christ," and he left.

Haven't been back to T-Bell yet, but I'm sure I will at some point. Still haven't returned to that bathroom.

Which is a minor miracle because the famine refugee camps Sally Struthers used to visit had better sanitation than a Burger King.
Burger King is doing ok these days. Granted that may still be untrue at the one across the street from Daytona International Speedway, but in general they're better now than they were.

I mean, it is possible BK did the trick? Absolutely. But it just felt more likely it was the Bell, which I never really liked all that much. But it opened in town senior year of HS and was the place to be. I still love me a flame-broiled burger and fries from BK.

I'm a big fan of Burger King and a nice whopper, when it's fresh and done right.

Those qualities are getting tougher and tougher to find these days. Though I haven't tried since their new commitment to quality with the "new" Whopper.

I think Burger King lost its grip on the throne when competitors started using better-quality buns and they stuck with the sesame seed packing foam they’ve always used on Whoppers.

The BKs around here (what’s left of them) are poorly maintained and out of date. In general, Birmingham is a terrible market for fast food quality control, which may explain why Chick Fil A has to hire traffic cops to manage the lunch rush at the drive through.

Interesting. There's been a lot of upgrades to the BKs in my neck of the woods. Lots of enhancements and kiosks. We had breakfast at one a few weeks ago prior to our daughter's last day of school (tradition since pre-K) and the restaurant had been completely overhauled since the last time we'd been there. Flip side: My hometown used to have two BKs, but one is long gone and the other looks exactly as it did in 1989.

All these people getting sick did not eat only at Taco Bell. It’s gotta be the lettuce in the grocery stores from this distributor.
