If the Raiders can pretend Al Davis is still alive, no reason they can't think the same of Jeff George.

Somewhere, Jason Whitlock is writing a column to let the world know he blocked for George in his glory days.

Whose glory days: Whitlock's or George's?

Get out.

Jason Whitlock blocked for Jeff George? I've never read anything from Jason about that.

It's the new advertising venture Webby alluded to ... gotta pay the bills on the new server.

I'm sure he'll elaborate more on this.

I think it's a way for Webby to make some money. Fine by me.

BTW, Jay Schroeder showed up today asking if he could try out in Oakland too. Bizarre.

Todd Marianovich was called as well, but he overslept.

He wasn't asleep. He was with all the old folks at McDonalds having breakfast.

I got home a little while ago and turned on the TV to see Mike Ditka on ESPN say, "Jeff George wasn't prepared to play when he was in his prime. Why now? The Raiders would be better of signing George Blanda."

I think Earl Morrall and Tim Van Galder will be on the practice squad.

Hey! Don't be taking my man Earl Morrall's name in vain! He's the patron saint of backup quarterbacks!

I don't see it...
Maybe my ZoneAlarm software is blocking it...
