According to the Herald Leader and Courier Journal, UK will have a 12:15 p.m. "pep rally" to introduce Billy Gillispie as its new head coach.

Todd Wright on SNR during his segment of "Winners and Losers" hit it on the nail by calling A&M losers for not having Gillispie sign that contract, thus letting him look around and having UK nab him during the night.

Best UK could have done in this situation. Still wish they would have gotten Izzo so I could have seen if my hatred could have grown.

I like Gillispie OK. We'll see how he does under the microscope.

On March 30, 2007, the Texas A&M Athletic Department announced that the A&M Board of Regents had approved a new contract and received verbal agreement from Gillispie to sign, ending speculation of a move to the University of Arkansas. The contract includes an annual income of $1.75 million, runs through March 2015, and includes bonuses of $1 million and $750,000 in 2012 and 2015 respectively. Luckily for Billy he is not a man of his word and had no problems ditching A&M for Kentucky when they offered more money. Getting a DUI swept under the rug a few years ago will prepare him for dealing with Kentucky boosters. He has already opened a FedEx account for contacting recruits.[14]
