I figured I'd start this in honor of National Haiku Month (thanks, Ilk of Zeke).

Great Tom Emanski
Your videos get results
Fred McGriff says so.

The kid in center
throws the ball toward the plate
and in the trash can

Baseball defense tapes?
Not as good as those Tom House
pitching videos

Nolan sure agrees
all of Tom's pitching theories
helps longevity

I always wondered
if all of those fine students
made their travel team

Tom House emphasized:
Throw footballs to build arm strength
... But his QBs sucked.

Does Tom know pitching?
His biggest play was catching
Aaron's home-run ball

Hank steps to the plate
BYH craps his diaper
Dad: "It won't happen."

Heads to change junior
Aaron launches seven one five
My dad still hates me

Downing threw the pitch
Milo Hamilton called it
That ball went bye-bye

Time for me to go
Unless I come back to write
about Hit-A-Way

The Good Doctor said:
Rounded the bases
Two guys slapped him on the back
Hank -- the Home Run King.

Non-haiku jack...can you imagine the fear that went thru Hank's head when those guys slapped him on the back? He'd gotten all sorts of racist death threat bull**** in the mail. For a split second, he probably thought a couple loons were going to off him before he made the HR official.

There was some special about Hank a few years ago in which one of the back-slappers was interviewed. The other declined an interview request.

Maybe if Bonds gets to 756, someone can serve him with a summons as he trots between second and third.

With all the Emanski talk, I feel obligated to chime in here (nods over to user picture at left).

This thread makes me sad
We're missing our dear poet
