I am in neither market, and they are showing the Lions-Patriots.

Inexcusable.

Falcons and Redskins... oh how I wish I could watch that instead of writing a feature story [/sarcasm]

I thought the same thing this morning, when my local FOX station deicded to switch from Dallas-NY to Tampa Bay-Pittsburgh. Not cool.

I've been berating my better half to get the Ticket... so far, no success.

yeah i don't get these decisions. a few weeks ago here in miami they showed vikings-49ers. which was nice for me because i'm a vikings fan but i may have been the only one watching.

Buy her a new vacuum and you get the Ticket. Seriously, if you can afford the ticket, why would your wife be the final decision. And yes, I have never been married.

I'm a sportswriter. She is not. I've outkicked my coverage, homie. Hell, thanks to her, I even HAVE a TV. :)

Probably a late game on a non-doubleheader day for Fox. Rarely will the non-home team network (CBS-Dolphins) go head-to-head with the home team's time slot.

From gribblenation...

FOX (Thursday):
Miami, FL (WSVN); West Palm Beach, FL (WFLX): MIN/CHI -> DET/NE
Baltimore, MD (WBFF): ATL/WSH -> DET/NE

Looks like those two affiliates made a late switch. You should let them know they ****ed up

Bizarre move. Why would Baltimore dump the 'Skins game for any reason other than overlap? Maybe they have some agreement on that front?

Any chance weekly trips to a sports bar would be OK?

Yeah, but there's somethin' to be said for being able to watch all the games from your couch in your jammies. No?

BTW, they now have a discussion board. So if you love talking about the blackout rules and secondary markets, this is the one for you.
And yes I am on it.
Also, if you love the NFL, NFLST is a must. Overpriced, but worth it. I have a new DirecTV HD DVR and it's cool to get live team stats, player stats tracking and scores on my TV.
The fact the NFL makes DTV charge customers an extra $100 for the Superfan package is criminal. What do you get? A Red Zone channel, a game mix channel, whuppee do.
Oh yeah, all the games in HD.
Yep, the NFL makes you pay an extra Benjamin for games in HD.
Lovely.

Not if you are a season-ticket holder for a team.

I thought CBS didn't broadcast all their games each Sunday in HD?

Point taken. Besides, I can't imagine paying money at a sports bar to see the Browns play each week. :D
