Iowa fans are great. They're okay with 7-5 and a minor bowl trip to Florida. They don't burn couches. And, of course, Vodka Sam.

I wished that my fellow Iowa fans will accept 7-5, but with Wisconsin, Michigan, MSU, PSU, Ohio State, and Nebraska in that league, most Iowa fans will take 10-2 or 9-3. 7-5 to them is beneath them. Which goes to show that expectations are a little higher than what Illinois has. (subtle jab)
Iowa fans really do not want to travel to Florida, though it's warm. It's Rose Bowl or bust (or a trip to San Diego and the Holiday Bowl).
Seriously, though, the Children's Hospital and the Wave is what I look forward to every home game. When Iowa played at Sparty, the Sparty fans did the Wave.
Every two months, I drive to the U of I hospital for my appointments. I am on the transplant list to receive a kidney. I've watched the construction of the new Children's Hospital for two years. No one would ever imagine how a simple gesture, suggested on social media (no doubt) would make an impact. The doctors, nurses, and the staff over at the Hospitals and Clinics are amazing as hell. They make effort to make patients, young or old, feel comfortable and receive the treatments they need to stay around on this planet.
And no, we don't burn couches. We head to the Ped Mall downtown and drink out the bars.
