Seriously, why would you even want him teaching anybody else how to hit? Sure, he had tremendous power, even before he "bulked up," but he was so inconsistent outside of the home runs.
 
If you go a full season (154 games; 585 plate appearances) in your prime (age 27), and you bat .201, should you be precluded from ever being a hitting instructor?
