What's sad is that it took the cops a day to retrieve the body after being notified. Oh, and the fact that no one bothered to call the cops for a month.

Fabulous story.

Though I don't think the fact that nobody called the cops is very surprising. The building was a refuge for the homeless. If they had called the cops, they'd risk getting "evicted" into the frigid Detroit cold.

I agree on both points. Good journalism, including photojournalism, is still relevant to our communities in this country.

I don't know.... urban explorers are pretty common in Detroit. No buildings are secured and there are a lot of curious college kids.
