I would have been in shock if I had not lived with Mrs. W before we got married. There was a huge adjustment period (I had lived alone for the 6 years before we lived together).

Having 2 bathrooms in our first place helped.

Two bathrooms is an absolute necessity. Back in my married days the second apartment we moved into had two bathrooms. She got the one connected to the master bedroom and I got the "guest bathroom." It's great when you get home and you both need to go. It's also nice not having to try to not mess up how she has her assortment of products arranged. Plus she never had to worry about someone discovering feminine products under the sink during a party.
