It's both. I'd probably let a pediatrician or someone who has studied the issue weigh in on whether or not it's bad to breastfeed your kid until he/she is 4 years old. It is weird? I suppose, but not something I'd get all worked up over. It happens in other countries. Not a big deal.

But a controversy over public breast feeding an infant pops up every single year, and it's always the dumbest thing of all time. I frankly don't care if you breast feed your kid in a restaurant, in a department store, or standing in line at Whole Foods. It's a breast, for pete's sake. People in Europe walk around with their breasts out on public beaches all the time an no one so much as shrugs their shoulders.
