At some point, I'll layer up, go dig my car out, and get to the DMV. Until then, I'm toasty warm in my 60-degree apartment.

A light dusting of snow in NNJ this morning ... three days after is was 55 and raining.
Temps going down to the teens tonight, local TV weathmen/iriots talking about the big freeze like it's gonna be 20-below.

I think this is what they call winter. No big deal.

It was 70 degrees in central Oklahoma today. Tomorrow, we're apparently all going to die.

Thankfully, the fam will all be home shortly, as school was canceled and workplaces are letting people go. So, we should all be here to keep each other company when the electricity goes out and we have to, y'know, talk or something.

It's 60 and sunny. But it's also very windy. You know something big's coming. And we're expected to get as much as 10 inches of snow here by Saturday night -- by way of contrast, our average yearly snowfall is 7.8 inches, and I'm pretty sure we haven't had that in the last five years combined.

So far, I'm underwhelmed.
Still above freezing, no rain in sight and now the weather dudes after warning all week about how bad it will be on Friday and Saturday, are suddenly, "umm, it looks the ice and snow will miss us, but further north, oh lordy is it going to suck."

Monday of this week, the temperature was in the UPPER 60s. I felt like a total idiot for taking my winter coat with me, but I had it because I knew I'd need it that night with temperatures getting much colder that night.

This Saturday, we're supposed to get grazed by Snowpocalypse 2.0 with temps not even hitting 30.

Welcome to winter.

Which is awesome because all of our prep events will be canceled, and I won't have to sit in and take calls. My hoops team is off Saturday, an absolute rarity. Four day weekend!

National Weather Service is predicting 15 inches by storm's end for here. That's two average years worth of snow in 48 hours and possibly as much as we got in the 2000s.

I spoke too soon. It has turned to **** in my neck of the woods.
The slush from this morning has frozen into a solid layer of ice and the snow is coming down
I really hope the power doesn't go out. That's when it will get ugly.
