But it's actually a good story and was an interesting read. I did figure out they led 9-0, so it's not really a game-winning kick.

My high school team, briefly, had a girl who kicked - the soccer coach's daughter, nonetheless. The local paper at the time made a big deal of it. She was awful and had to be replaced after the first few games with a soccer-playing exchange student and, if I remember correctly, quit the football team shortly thereafter.
