It's impossible to argue with counterpoints such as The Rock not being really black and the championships of Booker T and Mark Henry not counting because they're not the "right belt."

The WWE Hall of Fame has its own issues in terms of who it chooses to honor, but it is perhaps a better indicator of one's place/success in the business over the actual championship belt. Booker's in there, to suggest that he wasn't a major main event player in the company is foolishness.

Take Shelton Benjamin. There is not a single thing Brock Lesnar can do that Benjamin can't. In fact, Benjamin was practically Lesnar's coach in college. Lesnar wouldn't sign with WWE unless they signed Benjamin too.

Neither of them have an ounce of mic skill. Yet Lesnar gets the best mouthpiece in the business and a rocket strapped to his back, and Benjamin flounders on the undercard for a few years before getting released.

As much as I like Lesnar, let's not pretend he's any more of a model employee than Benjamin was. ****, Lesnar sent a fan to the ER a few weeks ago by recklessly throwing a car door into the fifth row of the crowd.

Wrestling was racist as all ****. Saying it was not is just correct. I have not watched it in 10 years or more, so it might have changed, but, ****, it was insane and played on every racial stereotype it could find.

****, every time America had a problem with another part of world, you were sure to get a heel wrester from that area. You could set a watch to it.

Except for the Russian, every one of those angles is at least 20 years old. Most are at least 30. The last 15-20 years has seen a shift away from goofy stereotypical characterizations for the most part.

I can't believe I just remembered to point this out, but does WWE get any credit for having not only a black tag team as its current tag team champions, but the fact that one of them is openly gay? And two of the three members of the tag team they're currently feuding with are former Intercontiental champions?
Or does that not count because they're not the "right belts"?

The inch taller and 50 pounds that makes Lesnar look like a monster and Benjamin look like just another guy is a huge difference. When a black guy with that look (Lashley) showed up in that era, they were ready to push him to the moon and he left for MMA.

Point taken about Lesnar. Though Benjamin is 6-2, 250-some pounds, which more or less puts him on par with microphonic black holes like Bret Hart, RVD, Jeff Hardy, Jack Swagger, Dolph Ziggler or He Who Shall Not Be Named, all of whom were world champions.

A couple of things that are different now than in the WWE of Hulk's golden era:
1. Male wrestlers don't hit female wrestlers.
2. The target audience seems to be family.
3. Those who don't like the family values approach boo John Cena.

I think I read somewhere that the rapper who had Hulk on his show said what he said wasn't racist in the context of it. If rappers use it in conversation with a white guy, why would them saying it be fine but Hulk saying it (again, in their company) be racist? I'm white and "*****" offends me. Any use of it. So can't we ditch that word altogether with the confederate flag?
