Credit to The Big Lead for this one, a "Pipeline" source says TBL is very much spot on with this.
Great get, yet again, for CBS:

Does that in effect sever his connection w/WFAN?

Seems like the connection would only get stronger--WFAN is owned by CBS.

Nice hire. SI back-filling? Wonder, too, if CBS is going to staff up on any other sports.

Their college sports lineup is stacked. It may be the best bunch in the business with Dodd, Feldman, Barnhart, McMurphy and Fischer on football and Goodman, Parrish and Borzello on basketball. They've also got a bunch of quality bloggers (though I think Yahoo edges them in that department).

To me, CBS' blogs are just ugly. Too much reposting of press releases and not enough analysis. The posting is inconsistant, at least on the hockey blog. It seems like I see Puck Daddy post something and 45 minutes later it shows up on EyeonHockey.

The CBS blogs are very inconsistent compared to the Yahoo blogs. But CBS does have a few excellent bloggers (Matt Moore on the NBA, Adam Jacobi on college football and Matt Norlander on college basketball come to mind) who are as good or better than some of Yahoo's top bloggers.
