"What I tell patients is, if you like coffee, go ahead and drink as much as you want and can," says Dr. Peter Martin, director of the Institute for Coffee Studies at Vanderbilt University. He's even developed a metric for monitoring your dosage: If you are having trouble sleeping, cut back on your last cup of the day. From there, he says, "If you drink that much, it's not going to do you any harm, and it might actually help you. A lot."

...

The most recent findings that support coffee as a panacea will make their premiere this December in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition. Coffee, researchers found, appears to reduce the risk of type 2 diabetes.

Forty-year-old father of toddler likes this.

As does 41-year-old father of infant, toddler, preteen and teen.

Off to brew up that third cup now!

I'm not sure there is enough coffee in the world for you two.

This appears to be the good year for coffee. Next year we will learn once again that lab rats drank 27 cups of coffee a day and contracted pancreatic cancer.

I will drink it nonstop through the morning at work.
Don't drink it in the afternoon, evening or on the weekend.

Very rarely I'll drink coffee at a restaurant after dinner, and weekend mornings if I'm traveling.

Who's the most popular guy at the nudist colony?

The one who can carry two cups of coffee and a dozen donuts.

If you can get to the point where you drink it black, it's really a healthy thing to drink.

I'm at that point now. I used to need a ton of milk and sugar/sweetener.

Having first cup (and since then 2 more) of Jamaican Me Crazy. Best coffee out there.

Rich, robust yet naturally sweet with a wonderful aroma.

If you know coffee lovers, it's a great gift.

I just love that Vanderbilt has a Director of the Institute for Coffee Studies.
